BOSTON Davis Advertising said it has been selected to handle marketing chores for Charter Communications’ national retail division.

The independent agency in Worcester, Mass., will develop point-of-purchase executions, signage and other materials for the St. Louis-based client, which offers cable TV and Internet products and services in 37 states at chains such as Best Buy, Circuit City and CompUSA.

The assignment marks an expansion of Davis’ relationship with Charter, as the agency has worked on various Northeastern client projects for the past several years.
