Island ECN this week is expected to select three finalists for its estimated $6-10 million account, sources said.
Last week, executives from the electronic stock-trading network, a unit of Datek Online Holdings, visited five New York shops: Emmerling Post Advertising; Angotti, Thomas, Hedge; Citigate Albert Frank; Grace & Rothschild; and Doremus, sources said. Each agency presented case histories and offered baseline insights on the business.
Island is “looking for a midsized agency,” said Ellen Saikia, the New York client’s director of marketing and a former account supervisor, who declined to confirm the list of contenders.
