Entertainment and consumer ad agency Cimarron/Bacon/O’Brien and Twentieth Century Fox are building the suspense for the upcoming release of Terrence Malick’s much-ballyhooed film The Thin Red Line.
The Hollywood, Calif.-based agency, in conjunction with Fox 2000 and Phoenix Pictures, has created a “teaser” movie trailer for the film, which is based on World War II’s Battle of Guadalcanal and stars Sean Penn, George Clooney, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson and John Travolta.
The teaser (shown here), currently playing in theaters nationwide, uses scenes from the film but with the dialogue silenced and replaced by a brief, inspiring narration that reveals next to nothing about the movie’s plot.
