ATLANTA Cramer-Krasselt has won the $20 million-plus ad account of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits following a review, the client confirmed.

The independent Chicago-based agency outperformed Interpublic Group’s Austin Kelley in Atlanta and Avrett Free & Ginsberg in New York.

Popeyes here, a division of AFC Enterprises, had split in July with the New York office of IPG’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos.

The review process was overseen by consultant Sheri Treco-Jones of Agency I.D. in Atlanta.

C-K will immediately begin working to develop TV and radio commercials scheduled to launch in first quarter 2004.
