CNet and Fortune Join Forces

As announced earlier this year, the joint-venture publication between CNet Networks and Fortune has hit newsstands.

The June 2001 issue of Fortune/CNet Technology Review and its sister site, located at, combines product reviews with business trends content. The print edition will be published twice yearly.

The editorial partnership for the magazine and Web site is divided equally, according to Blaise P. Simpson, a spokeswoman for CNet. “Peter Petre, who’s an executive editor at Fortune, was the supervising editor, along with our business editors, Bob Kane and John Blackford. And our editorial team was very integral to producing this.”
