Triarc Beverage breaks a Deutsch TV spot for Snapple this week that continues to mock the conventions of marketing, this time lampooning the brand’s sponsorship deal with Tara Lipinski.
The 30-second spot (shown here) opens with a grip-and-grin shot of Lipinski at a press conference announcing the contract, and that’s the last we see of her. In the remainder of the ad, her presence is reduced to that of a cardboard cutout.
“Now that Tara Lipinski is part of the Snapple family, she can be part of your family, too,” a voiceover says.
