NEW YORK Procter & Gamble has had conversations with Aegis Group’s Carat and Havas’ MPG about participating in a review for the client’s $2.5 billion North American media planning account, according to sources.
The incumbents, Publicis Groupe’s Starcom MediaVest Group in Chicago and Grey Global Group’s MediaCom in New York, are already contenders [Adweek Online, April 1]. It is unclear whether other shops are involved.
P&G has said only that “a select number of new agencies” are involved in the competition.
