CHICAGO Cramer-Krasselt has split with Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, on which it handled creative chores for two years, the agency said today.
Peter Krivkovich, CEO of the Chicago-based independent shop, said the agency never made a profit on the Popeyes account.
Though the unit of AFC Enterprises in Atlanta spent $30 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus, Krivkovich said the revenue C-K realized was more akin to an account one-third that size.
Popeyes chief marketing officer Rob Calderin declined comment.
