Seeking to connect its clients to the Spanish-speaking market, BVK/McDonald in Milwaukee has purchased The Meka Group, an $18 million Hispanic marketing communications agency in Miami.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Meka office will be renamed BVK/Meka, and will service existing clients of both firms. It will also serve as headquarters for BVK’s domestic Hispanic and pan-regional accounts.
“We were working on Tenet Healthcare when BVK won its national business, and we started a working relationship about a year ago,” said Meka founder Manuel Machado.
