Bozell Worldwide will handle the $5 million, late 1999 launch of Ericsson CG Technologies’ CyberGenie PC Cordless Phone System.
Brea, Calif.-based Ericsson CGT, a division of LM Ericsson Telephone Co., Stockholm, Sweden, develops small office PC phone systems.
Jim Harrington (shown here), executive vice president/general manager of the Bozell office in Costa Mesa, Calif., says the shop’s experience with
tech-related clients Western Digital, Yamaha Electronics and AirTouch Cellular played in its favor.
“I think they liked the fact that we are adept at communicating [the attributes of] technical products in consumer-friendly language,” he said.
The CyberGenie marries PCs and phones to offer advanced, voice-activated features.
Bruce Barta, who headed up the AirTouch account, will run the the shop’s CyberGenie business.
