NEW YORK
Bristol-Myers Squibb here has contacted at least one agency about its estimated $20 million Vagistat-1 account, currently at Wells BDDP, sources said. Neither the client nor Wells could be reached for comment.
The move is part of BMS’ reassessment of the remainder of its business currently at Wells, estimated to be worth nearly $100 million [Adweek, Sept. 15].
The reappraisal was sparked by BMS’ anger at Wells’ resignation of the company’s $25 million Clairol Herbal Essences shampoo account due to a mandate from Wells client Procter & Gamble, which deemed it a conflict, sources said.
