Blimpie Media Goes to Fitzgerald

ATLANTA — Blimpie International has named Fitzgerald + Co. its lead agency for media. Consultant Hasan Ramusevic of Hasan + Co. in Raleigh, N.C., who handled both the creative and media reviews for the estimated $10-15 million account confirmed the win.

The Atlanta shop bested crosstown media agency Carat with a strategic approach that will help Blimpie do battle on a market by market basis rather than applying the same formula to every region, according to Ramusevic.

It has not been decided which of the 20 markets currently handled by regional media agencies will be immediately transferred to Fitzgerald. Some existing relationships will be retained. “These will be long standing relationships where the agencies know the market really well, said Ramusevic.

New York’s Kaplan Thaler won the creative portion of the account earlier this year.
