BOSTON–Bell Atlantic, which is conducting a review to consolidate media planning and buying duties on its estimated $125 million ad account, has identified semifinalists, sources said.
Those shops, sources said, are: TBWA Chiat/Day, Zenith Media, McCann-Erickson WorldGroup and BBDO, all in New York; and Arnold Communications in Boston.
Chicago-based Leo Burnett, DDB Optimum Media in New York and possibly others that were believed to be involved did not advance, sources said.
Among the semifinalists, only McCann and BBDO are nonroster agencies.
