Bcom3 Cuts 40 Positions

CHICAGO–Bcom3 Group will eliminate 40 positions through back office mergers and a realignment of its information technology department, a representative for the Chicago-based holding company said.

Bcom3 will consolidate its media account payable and receivable departments in New York under the heading ReSources. Additionally, the company will restructure its IT department under chief information officer Bill Jenks, resulting in several consolidations.

The cuts will affect Bcom3 operating units in Chicago, New York and Troy, Mich. Bcom3 employs 18,000 people worldwide through its operating units, which include Leo Burnett, D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles and Starcom MediaVest.
