BBH N.Y. Names Andersen CEO

On the heels of its $270 million Cadillac victory, Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York has forged a new management team structure designed to give senior executives more direct day-to-day involvement with clients.

• Greg Andersen becomes CEO, promoted from N.Y. managing director.

• Emma Cookson moves to chairman from CEO.

• Steve Harty becomes group chairman; he had been N.A. chairman previously.

Andersen joined BBH in 2006 to found and develop the engagement planning department, and he was promoted to managing director in 2008. Already deeply involved with BBH Labs and an established industry blogger, he will now team with BBH N.Y. CCO Kevin Roddy to oversee all client business.

He and Cookson led the successful Cadillac pitch, and the latter, in her new role as chairman, will run that business, lead new strategic initiatives for a number of other clients and contribute to BBH’s global development.
Harty will help build partnerships and work to expand BBH’s presence in North America.

Simon Sherwood, BBH group CEO, said in a statement: “This line-up focuses on the two most important value creators…the contribution we make to our client’s business, and the breadth of capabilities we can bring to the table. It’s an exciting start to the year, especially following the Cadillac win.”
