CHICAGO Marty Orzio, formerly an executive creative director at Merkley Newman Harty & Partners in New York, will take over as the chief creative officer of BBDO Chicago.

Orzio, 46, succeeds Phil Gant, 52, as the agency’s top creative. Gant is joining BBDO Detroit as an executive creative director on the DaimlerChrysler business.
