Atlanta Shops Compete for Georgia Tourism

ATLANTA At least three Atlanta agencies are competing for the Georgia Tourism advertising account, sources said.

Independents TG Madison, The Morrison Agency and Kilgannon McReynolds are among the contenders. Another two undisclosed agencies may be competing, sources said. Three-year incumbent Match Inc. declined to defend, according to the agency.

The account involves the tourism department’s four divisions: economic development, international trade, tourism, and the film and video office, the client said. Additional responsibilities may include public relations support.

Past work for Georgia Tourism has included promotions, print advertisements and collateral for the economic development and international trade divisions, sources said.

Proposals are due April 12, and the client expects to make a selection in June.

Annual billings are approximately $5 million, according to sources.
