Arnold, Kaplan Thaler Stay Alive in Casino Review

BOSTON Arnold and The Kaplan Thaler Group have emerged as the last shops standing in a review for the creative portion of Foxwoods Resort Casino’s ad account, the client said on Thursday. Estimated billings are $25 million-plus.

Boston-based Arnold, a unit of Havas, and New York’s Kaplan Thaler, a Publicis Groupe shop, remain after the departures of two other contenders: Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Wieden + Kennedy, both in New York, the client said.

Wieden pulled out “due to logistical constraints,” the client said in a statement, though it did not elaborate.

BBH has switched Connecticut casino pitches and is now competing for the estimated $25 million account of Foxwoods rival Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods said. BBH could not immediately be reached for comment.

Trahan, Burden & Charles in Baltimore, the Foxwoods incumbent for five years, is not defending.
