AOL Hands Assignment to AtmosphereBBDO

NEW YORK America Online has tapped AtmosphereBBDO to help launch its AOL 9.0 service, the client confirmed.

The interactive shop will work closely on the campaign with its parent, Omnicom Group’s BBDO, which was awarded AOL’s product-advertising and broadband account in June. The Internet unit of AOL Time Warner decided to go with New York-based AtmosphereBBDO to ensure a consistent message for AOL 9.0, an AOL representative said.

AOL will continue to work with smaller interactive shops on other assignments, said the rep.
