Tequila Mockingbird, Austin, teamed with TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., to create the soundtrack for the new Nissan Altima commercial “Assembly Line.” The spot features Johnny Cash singing the theme song from Laverne & Shirley.

Resource 3, Dallas, was named public relations agency of record for Mi Cocina Restaurants. The agency will represent the chain’s six locations throughout Dallas and Fort Worth.

The Houston Advertising Federation exceeded its new membership goal for the year by 10 percent. Fifty-five people have joined since January, bringing the organization’s total membership to 448.
