Glaxo Wellcome has tapped FCB HealthCare, New York, to handle creative and media chores on both consumer and trade advertising for its new anti-viral flu therapy medication. Billings on
the account were not disclosed. FCB already handles some Glaxo business, including Zyban, a nicotine-free anti-smoking pill, and Glaxo’s entire HIV product line.
GFS/Levinson Group, New York has been awarded the estimated $2 million account for Einstein Moomjy, the Pine Brook, N.J., based home furnishings retailer. The shop’s first duty for
the client is to craft a print and broadcast campaign.
Crowley Webb and Associates, based in Buffalo, has opened a New York office to service clients such as IDV North America and Great Universal. Thomas Hess has been appointed
general manager.
Seiter & Miller Advertising, New York, has created a pro bono television and print campaign for the National Kidney Foundation’s “Kidney Cars Donation Program.” The print campaign will break Aug. 1 in newspapers and consumer magazines.
Blue Sky VFX, Harrison, has used photorealistic computer animation to create a dancing videocassette effect for a new ad by W.B. Doner & Co., Southfield, Mich., for Blockbuster Video.
Media Logic, Albany, took second place in the 1998 Telly Awards for producing a Time Warner Cable infomercial for the company’s interactive program guide.
Heat USA, a cooperative fuel-buying group for consumers, has named New York-based Boxtree Communications as its agency of record. The shop will develop a direct mail campaign, trade and consumer press public relations strategies, and collateral materials.
Culver Associates, New York, has won the advertising business of Apple Tours, a bus company providing guided tours of New York City.
Feature film director Ted Demme will create a new package of TV spots for the National Football League, New York. The spots will feature Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre and Dallas Cowboys star Deion Sanders.
Smith Advertising Group, Syracuse, won best special project of the year honors from the New York State Travel & Vacation Association for its campaign for Tourism CNY, sponsored by the Oneida Indian Nation.
Toolbox, New York, took best of show honors at the New Jersey Ad Club’s 30th annual awards show for its television campaign for Hackensack Medical Center.

Anne Klein & Co., New York, has tapped TMP Worldwide Direct in Mount Olive to handle the direct response program supporting its “Significant Women” advertising campaign.
Turchette Advertising Agency, Fairfield, took honors in two categories at The New Jersey Ad Club’s 30th annual awards dinner recently. The shop won for a four-color ad campaign for client Ulhmann Packaging Systems and a four-color calendar created for Bankers Savings.

Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications, Philadelphia, won four gold Addys from the Art Directors Club of Philadelphia. The shop took home trophies in four categories: medical or pharmaceutical print advertising, public service, billboard/signage/display (point of purchase) and billboard/signage/display (transit).
Sharavsky & Co., Lafayette Hill, won a merit award for best radio campaign in the 13th annual Admissions Advertising Awards for its work for client Widener University. The commercial was produced and directed by Alan Sharavsky and co-written by Marianne Pontillo
