Dentsu Aegis Network agency mcgarrybowen promoted Lucia Grillo to U.S. chief operating officer for the U.S.
She will be the first to fill the U.S. COO role since mcgarrybowen went global under Dentsu Aegis Network.
Grillo formerly served as head of operations, overseeing agency operations across its three U.S. offices in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. She joined mcgarrybowen from Droga5 in the role last year. In her new elevated role, she will add responsibilities for resource and project management, finance and operating process. She will report to mcgarrybowen global president Jon Dupuis. He noted her impact and efficiency in the past year.
“Her approach was never about doing more with less, rather in finding the best ways to champion great work for our clients,” Dupuis said in a statement. “She has brought value in creating excellence in how we work to drive excellence in what we create.”
Prior to joining mcgarrybowen, Grillo spent nearly two and a half years as production development director, Droga5, working to create new process and working models across departments at the agency. She worked at another Dentsu Aegis Network, 360i, as vp, head of integrated production.
“For the past year, we’ve looked at what we do best across offices, and we’ve worked to optimize that, and now we look forward to taking the effort to the next level,” Grillo said in a statement.
