BOSTON Havas’ Arnold said it has been named the first U.S. agency for Inter Rhône’s Côtes du Rhône wines following a review. Work is set to launch in the fall.

This will mark the first time the brand has been advertising domestically. There was no incumbent on the business. The budget was not disclosed but is likely in the low-seven-figure range.

The agency will handle the work in its New York office, and said the win is significant because it represents a chance to leverage Americans’ growing interest in wine (sales have been up across-the-board for the past few years) to build brand awareness from the ground up.

Herve Pichon, marketing chief at Inter Rhône, said Arnold’s creative expertise won the day.
