This year, more than 35 million Americans will use a voice-activated assistant device at least once a month. According to eMarketer, that’s up nearly 130 percent since 2017.

Amazon and its Echo line of smart speakers commands more than 70 percent of the voice market, while Google Home trails at approximately 24 percent. As it tries to increase its share, Google Home has hit the road to show off what its speakers can do.
