BOSTON Clarity Media Group has chosen Thomas Taber & Drazen as its lead advertising and marketing agency, according to Bryan Thomas, chief executive officer of the independent shop.

Clarity spent $300,000 in measured media during the first eight months of this year after spending just shy of $1 million through all of 2006, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The account includes strategic, creative and media planning responsibilities for The San Francisco Examiner, Washington Examiner, Baltimore Examiner and examiner.com, which serves the newspaper markets as well as 54 other major markets as a news and informational site.
