David Jones and Eric Silver were the two ad executives among this year’s seven inductees to the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement for executives under 40. At a luncheon last Tuesday at Cipriani in New York, Jones, the 39-year-old worldwide CEO of Euro RSCG, and Silver, the 38-year-old BBDO executive creative director, had what were arguably the funniest introductory videos of any of the honorees.

The Euro staff crafted a crudely animated short in which the likes of Winston Churchill, Ghengis Khan, Joan of Arc and Napoleon debate Jones’ worthiness of being in their company in Valhalla, only to find out that the AAF has stolen their thunder by inducting him into the Hall of Achievement.
