SAN FRANCISCO Hewlett-Packard has hired Satjiv Chahil from Palm Inc. to lead its personal systems group marketing as senior vice president, the client said Thursday.
Chahil, 54, who started his new position this week, has more than 30 years of experience working on tech brands, an HP representative said.
During his five years at Palm, Chahil was chief marketing officer and interim chief operating officer. Before that, Chahil worked for three years at Sony.
At HP, he replaces Deb Nelson, who moved over to lead marketing for the technology solutions group several months ago, a company representative said.
