CHICAGO Chris Carroll, who has managed advertising and marketing for Subway for nearly six years, has resigned from the company, the fast-food chain confirmed.

He will remain with the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust, the entity that manages the chain’s $300 million-plus advertising account, through September while the company searches for a successor.

“Because the business is strong and continuing to grow, and we’ve built a powerful team at SFAFT, I’ve decided that the time is right for me to resign my position as the svp, director of marketing here at SFAFT and take time to consider the next steps in my career,” Carroll said in a statement.
