Lopez Negrete Doubles Up for Astros

DALLAS Lopez Negrete Communications has picked up the Houston Astros’ general and Hispanic market creative accounts, the shop said.

The Houston-based agency was awarded the dual assignment in a review against undisclosed contenders. Active Imagination and Boone De Leon Communications, both of Houston, previously held the client’s general and Hispanic market accounts, respectively. The Astros will continue to handle its media account internally.

To build on the Astros participation in last year’s National League Championship Series, in addition to the re-signing of pitcher Roger Clemens, Lopez Negrete has created the “It’s on!” campaign to run throughout the 2005 season.
