Baskin-Robbins Launches Online Sweepstakes

BOSTON Allied-Domecq’s Baskin-Robbins said it has joined forces with The History Channel for a “Let Them Eat Cake” online sweepstakes.

Now through Jan. 17, the contest supports Baskin-Robbins’ ice cream Cake Treats, which were launched in October.

“We are excited to partner with The History Channel for this fun sweepstakes that provides a unique twist on history,” said client representative Maria Feicht. “The ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ online sweepstakes supports our recent launch … while rewarding consumers with a chance to indulge in history, art and travel.”

The sweepstakes will culiminate during the The History Channel’s Jan. 17 broadcast of The French Revolution. The program offers viewers a look inside the fascinating details surrounding the revolution that changed the French monarchy and planted the seeds for modern politics, diplomacy and nationalism.

The grand prize winner will receive prizes including a trip to Paris with a one-day art excursion to Versailles or a trip to London to see Les Miserables on stage. Five first-prize winners will receive Berlitz self-study French programs and a trip for two to the French Quarter in New Orleans.
