NEW YORK Intel has placed its global advertising account into review, a client representative has confirmed. The estimated budget exceeds $300 million.

The semiconductor company in Santa Clara, Calif., has hired consultancy Select Resources International in Santa Monica, Calif., to develop an RFP that has yet to go out to agencies.

The client anticipates the process will take at least six months, with a decision expected in the first half of 2005.

The decision to review follows a performance evaluation this summer of current lead creative agency Euro RSCG Worldwide in New York, a unit of French holding company Havas.
