E*Trade, M/W Go Separate Ways

Online brokerage E*Trade Financial and Martin/Williams last week parted ways on the company’s $90 million marketing account, the agency said. The Minneapolis-based Omnicom shop cut 12 percent of its staff, or about 30 employees, due to the anticipated revenue loss from both E*Trade and Staples, which left in May. New York-based E*Trade is evaluating ideas from other, undisclosed agencies, sources said. E*Trade could not be reached.
