Burger King has named former PricewaterhouseCoopers chief executive Greg Brenneman CEO, effective Aug. 1. He replaces Brad Blum, who left earlier this month. Most recently, Brenneman, 42, was with a Houston-based private equity firm, TurnWorks. BK, owned by a group composed of Texas Pacific Group, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, spends about $350 million a year on advertising. MDC’s Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami is BK’s lead agency. The client did not comment on how the move might affect its advertising.
