CHICAGO Barkley Evergreen & Partners has retained lead agency duties on Citgo’s $10 million advertising account after a review.

The Kansas City, Mo., agency will handle strategic and creative development, as well as media duties for the Tulsa, Okla.-based company. BE&P’s subsidiary, Three Wide Marketing, will handle promotions and sponsorships.

BE&P has handled Citgo’s account since 1998. The new contract is for another three years, according to the company. A client representative had earlier confirmed that Square One and Moroch/Leo Burnett USA, both in Dallas, were the other two finalists in the review [Adweek Online, March 5].
