LOS ANGELES Jerry McGee, co-president and executive creative director of WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson here, is retiring at the end of June, the agency said.

McGee, 62, has been with JWT in Los Angeles for three years. He will serve as a consultant for JWT upon his retirement, according to the agency. JWT co-president Brad Fornaciari will become the sole president in Los Angeles, effective July 1.

“I worked with Jerry for probably 10 years and it has been a terrific 10 years,” said Fornaciari, who, along with McGee, joined JWT in 2001 from WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather as the Symantec account shifted from Ogilvy to JWT.
