American Media Inc. is moving its supermarket tabloids—The Globe and The National Examiner—from Florida to New York. That, of course, means layoffs.
According to the New York Post, between 40 and 50 people will get cut as a result of the move. The tabloids will be joining The National Enquirer and Star, and all will be overseen by AMI vp of news Dylan Howard. Tony Frost and Ray Villwock will continue to work for the Globe and the Examiner, respectively, but will now report to Howard.
