St. Louis Post-Dispatch Movie Critic Killed in Car Crash
A passionate fan of film (and the drive-ins that still screened them), Joe Williams was 56.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Joe Williams led off his list of favorite movies with It’s a Wonderful Life. And in his case, in real life, it certainly was.
From today’s terrible news that the longtime St. Louis Post-Dispatch movie critic was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle car crash, as he drove possibly to an area drive-in theater:
“I never met anyone who loved working for the Post-Dispatch more than Joe,” said Paul Hampel, a Post-Dispatch colleague and close friend.
