NEW YORK America Online this week created a new division encompassing its advertising, search and commerce businesses that will be led by Michael Kelly, president of global marketing at AOL parent Time Warner.

The move was expected [Mediaweek, Jan. 12]. The reorganization follows the exit of Lisa Brown, who resigned last week as president of AOL’s ad sales operations after nine months.

The AOL Networks Sales and Solutions division will integrate the Internet company’s ad sales, commerce and search inventory across its entire network of broadband, dial-up, messaging, wireless and Web-based properties.
