NEW YORK J. Brown/LMC Group, a unit of Grey Global Group, has entered into an alliance with a Dallas agency to strengthen its in-store marketing and promotions execution, Grey confirmed on Friday.

The Stamford, Conn., company is acquiring a stake in Crosscut, a division of Crossmark in Dallas. Marketers employ Crossmark sales teams to monitor retail chains such as supermarkets and convenience stores to ensure that promotions and inventories are implemented and maintained.

Crosscut will be renamed the J.
