CHICAGO Volkswagen of America has named Zafar Brooks to the new post of general marketing manager.

Brooks, who was previously the company’s Western regional team leader, will oversee VW’s new integrated marketing discipline, which combines product planning, corporate strategy and brand management. He will also be responsible for marketing and advertising.

Prior to joining VW in 2002, Brooks worked for Ford Motor Company, where he held a number of positions, including North American franchising manager, regional operations manager and regional marketing manager.
