Mering Defends California Agricultural Business

LOS ANGELES Mering and Associates has retained the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s “California grown” campaign following a review, the client confirmed.

The independent shop in Sacramento, Calif., overcame indie agencies including Woodenship in Sacramento, Calif.; Wolfe/Doyle and Think Twice, both in San Francisco; and Pierpoint-Martin in Santa Ana, Calif., according to a representative for the CDFA.

Billings for the 11-month contract, which includes creative and media, are $5-10 million.

Mering has worked with the CDFA since April 2002.
