Coke Moves to Mother in U.K.
New York McCann-Erickson last week lost its second European Coca-Cola assignment in two weeks when the client moved its U.K. Coke Classic account to London shop Mother. The U.K. business is worth an estimated $40 million. Two weeks ago, IPG’s McCann lost the $35 million Coke Classic business in France to Havas’ BETC Euro RSCG. Working from the “Real” strategy developed by WPP’s Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York, independent shop Mother will break its first work for the brand early next year.
