NEW YORK Ziccardi Partners Frierson Mee looked to artist John Singer Sargent for inspiration to evoke a portrait-like feel for a new fall campaign for Ellen Tracy’s Linda Allard line.

The effort, which features model Stephanie Seymour against a canvas-like backdrop, was photographed by Steven Klein, who has shot ads for Calvin Klein and editorial spreads for W and Vogue, among others.

Seymour, who has worked for the Liz Claiborne-owned upscale clothier for about two years, was selected over five-year Ellen Tracy model Cindy Crawford because “the collection suited Stephanie more,” said ZPFM creative director Tracy Brennan, adding that “she’s very into the arts and got very into the concept.”
