Los Angeles Confidential Gets New EIC
A number of years before Los Angeles Confidential first hit newsstands and upscale hotel room coffee tables in 2002, Spencer Beck had begun what has turned out to be a very successful localized luxury and celeb journalism career.
He started out with Andy Warhol’s Interview, was editor-in-chief of Los Angeles magazine from 1997 to 2000 and has co-authored the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis biography Uncommon Grace. He also once upon a time, with his trusty literary collaborator Jean-Claude Suares, rifled off a series of quickie tomes with titles like Hollywood Kids and Hollywood Doctors.
