Jewish Groups Show Support for Occupy LA
The chosen people know how to throw a protest. This past Sunday, members of several Jewish organizations brought their own special formula to the Occupy Los Angeles protest on the lawn of City Hall. Participants included members of CLUE-LA (Clergy & Laity United for Economic Justice), the American Jewish University, and the Progressive Jewish Alliance, among others.
The groups erected a sukkah, a temporary shelter traditionally built by observers of the week-long Jewish festival of Sukkot, and held a rally in the structure.
