After four years at small, independent shops, Eddie Snyder is coming back to Fitzgerald + Co. with a new perspective on the agency where he worked for nearly a decade.

Snyder joins on May 1 as evp, chief creative officer, the top creative post at the Interpublic Group-owned Atlanta agency, following a nine-month search to replace executive creative director Mark Gettner. Snyder will oversee all accounts at the 97-person shop, including Coca-Cola, Durex and Georgia Power, and will report to president and CEO Dave Fitzgerald and evp, managing director Lisa Galanti.

Fitzgerald, Galanti and retired ecd Jim Paddock looked at more than 100 reels and interviewed nearly a dozen candidates for the job, Fitzgerald said.
