LOS ANGELES In an attempt to position Lake Tahoe as a must-see destination, Mering & Associates has unveiled a national print campaign encouraging travelers to “Step into the blue.”

This is the first campaign for the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority since the Sacramento, Calif., shop won the account last spring. This is also the client’s first national ad effort in 15 years.

The campaign is backed by $2 million in media spending over the next eight months.
