LOS ANGELES — After nine months without a head creative, Foote, Cone & Belding in Southern California said today it has tapped Holland Henton to fill the post.

Henton, 40, was most recently senior vice president, group creative director at McCann-Erickson in New York. He has led creative on such accounts as Southwest Airlines, Federal Express, Spalding Golf, General Mills and Coca-Cola.

At FCB in Irvine, Calif, Henton takes the title of senior vice president, executive creative director.
