NEW YORK — The U.S. Dept. of Defense Joint Recruitment Advertising program account, with estimated billings of $15-20 million, has been awarded to Mullen after a review, sources said.
The Wenham, Mass.-based agency beat out the incumbent, Bates in New York, as well as J. Walter Thompson in Atlanta and the New York shops Foote, Cone & Belding and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles.
The win represents Mullen’s third in less than a week, following the addition of about $12 million in retail advertising chores for longtime client Nextel Communications in its Winston-Salem affiliate and lead agency status for FosterGrant.
