NEW YORK–Legendary British soccer club Crystal Palace is in negotiations with the Disney Co. to become the official soccer team of Walt Disney World.

Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan said he has spoken with Disney management regarding “a lucrative deal” that would involve Palace traveling to Disney World for preseason training camps in the resort’s 200-acre Wide World of Sports center. The club, whose name is known among soccer fans worldwide, would be granted access to the first-class facilities, while Disney would use its global resources to encourage Palace fans to travel to the resort, according to Jordan.
